Off to Vegas, baby!
This year the ABC Kids Expo is in Vegas and New & Green will be there next week, scouting out the best cloth diapering gear for you.
We’ll have our warehouse and shipping crew continuing to receive and ship orders while we are gone. If you have a diapering question, give us a few days and we’ll get right back to you.
We are making room on our shelves for some exciting new gear this fall and would like to know what you’d like to see here at New & Green.
Leave us a comment about what new diapering gear would make your life easier and we’ll keep an eye out when we are researching new products.
To thank you for your time, we’ll randomly one comment to win a Clean Up Kit – including a Small Bummis Tote for out and about, a Large Bummis Storage bag, three Reusable Wipes and a Sample Size Wipes solution!
Looking forward to hearing what your heart desires!
Comments will close on September 15th. Open to Canadian Residents only.

More funky boy coloured cloth diapers (non-cotton preferably) would be nice. We like Monkey Doodlez because they carry a selection of ‘boy’ colours but more choice would be great! We also like diapers with non-white lining! Makes sense since most diapers will eventually get stained! They are easier to pass on or re-sell when the stains don’t show.
Have fun down there!

I would like to suggest apple cheeks they are a very nice pocket diaper that are made right here in Canada. Also kangas are a great one size diaper. I have both and am pretty happy with them!

I’d love to see New & Green offer some nursing pads. I just ordered some bamboo pads and am hoping they do the trick. Seems like it’s up New & Green’s alley! Oooh! And other pocket diaper options that are anything close to Monkey Doodlez. I really liked their pocket diaper and would like to see something similar now that they are off the market.

I would like to see a larger selection of training pants. i practice part time EC and it was tough finding a Canadian store offering training pants for lil ones under 20 pounds. Thanks!

I definately need an out and about bag…right now I just shove the dirty stuff in a plastic grocery bag in my diaper bag. Gets gross after a few uses and can’t be washed. Need something reusable for sure!

Tried & LOVE products that are a MUST have in my diaper bag and would love to see at New & Green:
1) “Nasty Free Naturals” (fairly new, Port Moody based mom business) Cheeky Monkey Bum Buff – Gentle Bum wash for babies and tots. I spray it on everytime i change him and it just freshens him up; gentle essential oils serve antibacterial purposes in the prevention of diaper rash. Also works on my 2 year old girl who doesnt wipe so well after peeing and can get a bit red and sore, one time spray does the job!
2) bamboo nursing pads from Mother-Ease. I am constantly leaking and needing to change my nursing pads all the time. The bamboo ones from Mother-Ease are the first cloth pads I have found that can actually hold enough volume of my milk that I only ever need to take one spare one out (and I dont always end up using it!)
3) “Planet-Wise” wet-dry bags for going out. Two in one bag that holds clean diapers on one side and has a larger lined other side for soiled diapers. Snap handle can hang off of anything. Can go sometimes with just this bag because the dry side holds my wipes as well.

Is there a reusable product that can be used for the bleeding right after giving childbirth? It’s frustrating having to use disposable liners and knowing where they’ll end up… If you could offer that, it’d be amazing.

I love the Wahmmies diaper pail liner; they come in really cute patterns and close up really nicely with their elastic closure. The little sewn-in pad is great for putting a couple of drops of tea-tree or lavender oil. Nice touch!
