Bio-soft liners make using cloth diapers even easier!
Bio-soft liners are flushable diaper liners that make messy diapers a breeze to deal with – this product is the perfect compromise between convenience and cloth diapers. No more rinsing poopy diapers in the toilet!
How do they work? A Bio-soft liner is laid inside the diaper right next to your baby's skin. They function to catch the solid waste and allow for easy disposal. When the liner has been pooped on, you simply toss the soiled liner in the toilet and flush away the mess. Peed on liners can be tossed in the garbage to biodegrade in the soil. They are single use.
Bio-soft liners are non-irritating and very soft next to your baby's skin. You'll find that these liners are much softer than the store bought Kushies variety of diaper liners.
Bio-soft liners are made of a non woven material with no binder, and will biodegrade very quickly (within 8 days in a sewage treatment system or 20 days in a septic tank). They are 100% viscose rayon; a cellulose fiber derived from natural sources, and are made in England to Bummis' specifications.
Please note that the flushing of any biodegradable diaper liner may cause blockage in old or damaged drains and in sensitive septic systems. Please discard pee soaked liners in the garbage and let the soiled liners soak a few minutes in the toilet before flushing just so that they absorb water and break down a bit before they are released into the system.
Approximately 100 sheets per roll. NEW - 2 sizes now available. Small is recommended for newborn and small sized diapers and large is recommended for medium and large sized diapers. After receiving feedback from some parents that they loved their Bio-Softs but were finding that they "bunched up" once their babies were bigger - we have found a solution for you, large Bio-Softs! These do not "bunch up", rather lay flat inside the larger diapers to catch the most impressive of messes.
Sizing:
Each small sheet is approximately 12 X 5 inches. We recommend using 1/2 of a liner for smaller babies.
Each large sheet is approximately 12 x 7.5 inches.
Tips:
- For newborns, you may only need 1/2 of a small sheet per diaper change (and your roll will last twice as long)
- You may find that the liner sticks out from the edges of the diaper (at the front and back with smalls and out the legs with larges). Not a problem. Just do a quick check and gently tuck the liner inside the diaper or cover before finishing up with the diaper change.
- Do your best to remember to remove the liners before tossing in your diaper pail. While it won't do damage to your washer, if you leave a velcro tab open and wash a Bio-Soft in the load, these will be stuck in your velcro. A true testament to how easily they break down into fluffy bits. Hello, velcro maintenance!
- If your child is taken care of by a caregiver, pre-load their diapers with Bio-soft liners for easy poop maintenance while at daycare. You and your childcare provider will appreciate this extra step.
- EC'ing (aka practicing Elimination Communication)? Use a Bio-soft liner in the bottom of your potty to catch the poop. Makes for easy potty-time clean up.
- If you find that you want an altrenate poop management solution, consider a diaper sprayer. Using a diaper sprayer also is an effective way of managing poop but does not require any extra steps at the diaper change or forethought.
- These are a hot cloth diapering commodity. If you find these are effective for you, stock up. On occasion we have to go on backorder status for these and families tell me how much they appreciate when they are back in stock!!
